Ours are configured much the same as your '02, except I do insist on mudguards (more for rock chips).

Lot of trailering, always laden with weight in the boxs (tools, parts, etc), and just do a job - while getting reasonable economy. Haven't bought any with the cylinders that shut down if not needed, figure why pay for it since ours are always working.

You'd like the six-speed auto, the trucks tach-out at 1,750 RPM (or so) at 70 mph, and deliver 17-19 mpg, driven hard, while being worked. It's unreal.
