Got this from a friend of mine:

I am finding inner peace after this election by just realizing that, as a 71 year-old mostly retired but successful businessman, the young people are entitled to socialism if they want it.

Our generation rejected it and built good lives for our families within the free enterprise system. We fought several wars and rejected crazy left wing ideas, but I think we may have given our children too much that they didn't have to work very hard for. We thus set-up a system where they actually believe that you can get things for nothing.

The young people will experience socialism for themselves, just as two generations of Europeans have since 1945. Getting lots of "stuff" for nothing (or apparently for nothing), breeds contempt for the "fools" who are still willing to go out and build businesses and work for a living.

We will probably not be around when the wheels fall off the goody-wagon, but the young people will have to deal with it the same way a younger generation of Europeans is dealing with the end to free stuff and the realization that only hard work can yield good results. Don't fret, we did our part and cannot change the course of the USA at this point. Cheer-up - it could be worse."

...I find myself in agreement: I think maybe all our Conservative legislators should just vote Present on every single freaking Obama administration bill that comes up in the next 4 years, and let the pieces fall where they may.

It shouldnt take long for the whole friggin mess to collapse, but the administration wont be able to blame any of it on "obstructionist" republicans or conservatives.

As someone once said You have the government you deserve."
And the Socialist/Dems deserve this one in spades. Let em own it. When the "free" food, housing, medical care, etc. runs out, as it inevitably will, maybe they'll come to their senses. If not... they have only themselves to blame.
