Hard to believe a teenage girl would go down stairs after hearing gunfire coming from the basement. Even stranger for her to laugh after taking a bullet in the hip. I think these people were on drugs maybe all of them.
He does have one advantage, they can't tell their side of the story.

I agree. You don't keep breaking into a house for "fun"...and if your house keeps getting broke into and you DON'T call the popo, there's a reason. My guess, the reason is drugs.
