I didn't do much car work over the weekend. Mostly shop cleaning and organizing.

But I did start refurbishing the used steering wheel I purchased.

I ground the cracks open with a dremel.

I filled the cracks with body filler, was going to use an epoxy or jb weld, but figured this should work.

I blew some urethane surfacing primer on the wheel after sanding the body filler.

Tomorrow I will do the final sanding, paint it red, maybe some clear coat too.


You can maybe see in the pics that I decided to go with a smooth face on the rim of the wheel rather than the grooves it originally had.
