As to the original question, 6.5-284 in the 700 long action and the 6.5-06 in a commercial mauser or a lengthened standard. Both do everything you want. The 6.5-284 with Lapua brass requires the least amount of foreplay... For a bit more fps, the 6.5-280AI with Nosler brass. Defend the Constitution
