Dittos, if I were to move to a new local I'd be in no hurry to set down roots. Give any new local two years to see what it's really like to live there.

RN's always seem to be in demand and well compensated in Alaska. Yes, Alaska is expensive but done right it offers a lifestyle and quality of living you won't get anywhere else.
