I was doing a little post season scouting/walkabout yesterday and took my old H&R 20ga single shot just in case I saw a something that needed shooting. That little 20ga only weighs 5lbs or so, is not in the best of cosmetic shape and is the least valuable gun I own, but sees a good number of days out every year. I use for rabbits, squirrels, grouse and have shot a couple of coyotes with it. It seems to go along because its so light and can do so many things.

Anybody have a cheap gun they find surprisingly useful?

I remember those shotguns being on the rack in the gun store where I worked during the 1980s. They always intrigued me because they seemed well made and were always for sale for less than $100.00.
