I heard a nasty rumor that fredIII has a Rem 700 VLS 22-250 with a factory 1:14 with a torched throat that is pending a punch to 22-243 with the express intent to roast the throat again shooting gophers with 40’s.

As for myself I miss my old Ruger #1 220 swift as it shot great but my current Kimber 84m varmint does all I could ask with the 55gr max at 3700. I’m admittedly nice to the throat on this one.

We cant hunt big game except cougars in WA with a 22 centerfire so it’s varmints and coyotes only for me. Can’t see a guy not running the 220 swift fast for varmints if that’s what he wants as the goo factor is impressive.

MallardAddict,that pending .22/243 will be a hoot on gophers and coyotes! Can't wait for the upcoming pics. wink
