I have a 700 BDL in 8 mag with really nice wood. I've shot exactly one animal with it ( whitetail doe), and took it elk hunting once, but never pulled the trigger. I haven't shot it in years, collects dust mainly. Thought I needed it at the time
Well, one thing about it:
We have something many/most don't have. It'll kill anything we hunt.
