I take it as meaning "oh oh, I made a bad shot, and hit the gut, so it's going to take that deer a while to die." I have seen that happen a number of times on those shows, and it was very obvious that it was "operator error"........something that happens, but also something that is usually caused by either rushing the shot, or by taking a shot for the sake of the camera.

Anyone who has hunted for any length of time is going to have things like that happen, however, it happens much more frequently on these hunting shows than it does in a non hunting show situation. Most of it is preventable.
