About any way you cut it or slice it, they look after their own and I admire that. They are inwardly focused as are most groups that were ostracized and hounded upon.
If you want an interesting conversation try and find a Mormon Missionary who did their required mission work in Israel. I believe their Temple was burned then razed, visas pulled, etc.
At one time they had a very rough go of it there in the promised land.
