Unless we slide into a full on Civil war, we are pretty much cooked.
This right here. This country needs a permanent split. Republicans and Democrat Socialist/ communists or whatever they are cannot live with each other anymore. We need a permanent and final divorce... Too many irreconcilable differences...We been forcing this marriage to work for years and it isn't going to work...It either gets settled with violence or splitting the country in half.
It won't work that way Bub. Like Wisconsin, where the split is 50-50.
I never said it would be easy...A lot of states are like that with the 50-50 split...I'm saying we cannot live with them anymore and they cannot live with us anymore. There is too many fundamental differences to overcome, and we are forced to live together or leave the country... What happens in a marriage like that when both sides get to the point where they can't stand the other anymore but they have no way out financially? Nothing good. At some point, this country is going to implode and it is either going to lead to a lot of violence or a lot of diplomacy that fundamentally changes the country, probably both...There is no easy solution outside of one side just kicking the crap out of the other and making them bend to their will....
Yeah, well here's the thing. I have friends that I've known way longer than all this talk about shoot anybody you don't agree with.
Some of my friends lean Dem and some GOP, but both sides actions speak louder than words, and they mostly help what and when they can. So which side of my friends do I shoot?
If we had a time machine, we could go back in time and ask our forefathers how they decided and felt about shooting at their cousins, brothers, people they grew up with, etc in the first Civil War in this country...Or, we could go back and ask the Jews how they would feel if they had the oppurtunity for a do over to fight their German Neighbors, acquaintances they trusted who put them and their children in concentration camps after Hitler brainwashed them into believing Jews were a cause for their problems.
I don't know how you decide, I guess you just eventually get pissed off enough about losing things you believe in like your freedom, your lifestyle, your finances, etc and seeing those folks on the other side happy enough to take those things away from you because of what they believe. That's when friends can turn into enemies...
We're not really to that point yet where we have to decide, but I'm saying if it keeps getting worse like it is every year eventually it will come to this. Maybe we will learn from history and turn the ship around before it gets really bad...
