(There have been two serious maulings in the lower-48 involving Grizzlies. One was outside the West entrance to
Glacier NP, involving a US Forest Svc LawEnf officer on a mtn bike. The other was in the Wind River Range
NE of Yellowstone.)

There were several fatal bear attacks near Yellowstone when I worked there for the Park Service around 86 in a 2 year period, we heard an after attack report on the Park Service radios. Having worked for the Park Service I would not always trust the FACTS as told by the experts. IMHO!
