Did you happen to notice how easily the Government forced everyone to wear masks, shut down their small businesses, not go to church, not visit friends, "social distance" and generally fear death and destruction from the Chinese Virus? Hell, people are still wearing masks even outside. I don't wear a mask.
People that pliable are not likely to take up deer rifles to shoot anything more than deer (as long and only when the Government grants them permission to do so). Shoot a deer "out of season", a "season" dictated by the Government, and see what happens. You will lose your precious hunting license that you paid an exorbitant price for, pay a large fine, maybe lose your little deer rifle, and not be "allowed" to hunt for several Government dictated seasons.
No, armed insurrection or any other insurrection is not at all likely from a people so cowed they gladly wear masks at the order of Government.
You need to spend more time in the rural West. These are hard people who have already set to doing what needs to be done.
