But, if it's early or late, raining or sunny out, close range or long, I'm probably going to be packing the same rifle.
It'll be a stainless synthetic bolt action. Be wearing a solid scope in MQ that I can dial, and be light in the hand.
Cartridge will either be the 6.5CM or 7mm-08....I'm betting the rifle will be a Kimber Hunter, too.
Doesn't matter if it's a deer, elk or pronghorn.

If I'm feeling old school, I'll grab my classically stocked, wood & blue Rem 700 with Leupold 2.5x8 on deck.
It weighs a little more than the Kimber's but is just as accurate.
Oh, and it'll be chambered for the justifiably revered .270Win and running a 130gr Hornady spire point.
