Nowadays when I'm out hiking with the dogs it seems couples among the 35 and under crowd are a distinct minority. Most often women are in the company of other women. Ain't saying they are lesbians, but they are choosing to socialize with women friends.
Pre Covid I'd join communal bike rides downtown, couple of hundred bicycles, again few couples, mostly single folks 35 and under, lots of women, very few kids.
I don't think guys have changed much, mostly women.
It ain't just my opinion, declining marriage and birth rates tell the story.
I always feel bad for them, they have no idea of what they are passing up.
