I have been in the hospital for extended periods quite a bit this last year, and those nurses to me were bright spots of humanity.
overworked, underpaid, and dealing with some messy things.

in 1995 i was sitting on the edge of a hospital bed, when diana came in to take my blood pressure. i was describing her as an orderly pushed my in a chair out of the hospital. he said everybody knew diana.

she came in basically jumped by leg, right up there, bug busted girl.
various things came to life and i knew i was gonna live.
