Had a young black man come up to me in a parking lot and say nice truck. Thanks! Said he was down on his luck and asked if I'd like my truck washed and I asked how much. He's say's to me $500 for a detail and I started laughing . "pal your still down on your luck" WTF!
I paid $300 about 10 years ago for a complete homeboy detail. Mobil wash crew runs around here, even makes house calls.
But, I’m talking bout these 2 guys did door jambs, engine compartment, tires, wheels, wheel wells, pressure wash underneath, Q-tips around all the vents, skittles and pickles out of the seat belt in the back, the glass, grime out of the buttons, hand wax, Armour all, vacuum.
Guess it depends on what your guy was going to do or what your understanding of what a full detail is.
