Thanks for the reply and explanation. Beaver10 had a thought, but apparently missed the mark with regard to your purpose. Observation of the various posts has been interesting.

I am not smart enough to explain what you wonder "how" but, in general, people condition themselves to social norms, behavior standards, higher aspirations, social niceties, etc., etc. through the strength of efforts by loving parents/families and the qualities/influences of those they choose to be their friends. Sometimes their spiritual beliefs have such influences. For certain, we all are free to make our choices, set our own discretionary standards, display who we are, etc. "telle est la vie humaine"
