Got it done again. 350 yards with handloaded 180 gr Berger "Elite Hunter" - Ha, that's me alright "elite" LOL! At any rate, it was a good hunt. I got this one, and my son took a smaller buck with his 6mm Remington at much shorter range. Young fellows are smart that way. Less recoil, shorter range, and close to a road. I need to follow his example more often.

And my son with his buck. It's fun watching the younger hunters out there getting it done. He's using the 6mm Remington 700 BDL that I got back in 1974. It still shoots great with those 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets:

Glad to have taken these two bucks, we were just about out of venison!
