We all had little boxes of survival food and stuff like folding checkerboards, to take our minds off dying of radiation poisoning, I suppose. Years later I was poking around in the boiler room where I worked and found a stash of emergency supplies: canned water, feminine hygiene stuff, porta-potty, and a Geiger counter, an odd mix.
