I remember when cars came without radio and heater, even back seats, as standard equipment. Ads would list the price “ Radio & Heater included!” 3-speed manual transmissions, shifter usually on the column, were standard even into the 70s.
Don’t recall exactly when, but sometime in the 60s, seatbelts and side mirrors became required equipment
And I remember when you turned the car radio on, you had to wait for it to "warm up"...
