Speaking about high school principles, reminds me of our principle back in the sixties. One of the boys in school was constantly making and throwing spit balls (paper balls about the size of a pea). One day the class teacher had enough and took him to the principles office for disciplinary action. This happened on a Friday, and the principal said to the boy, that over the weekend he needed to make exactly 1000 spit balls, put them in a paper bag and place on his desk at the start of school on Monday morning. Now the boy thought there is no way the principle would count that many spit balls, so he started making them bigger and bulkier to make it look like a full bag. On Monday morning the boy put them on the principles desk. The principle merely reached in the bag and grasped a small amount of the spit balls, and then said to the boy, now you count the rest in the bag, and it better come out to 1000. Needless to say, that boy never made another spitball in school.
