When this issue can drive such a wedge between so many like-minded (conservative), patriotic Americans, that really shows how divisive it is and dangerous it would be to expect broad support for increased engagement on the part of the US

My opinion is that Putin telegraphed and warned well ahead of time what his redlines and intentions were. Instead of making a sincere effort to address Russia’s concerns, the Biden administration chose war as a first option. They wanted war. So we have two very closely related countries, with large Christian populations that are killing each other. It is the Ukranian people and lots of Russian mothers who are paying the price.

The Ukranian economy and infrastructure is being destroyed. The US taxpayer will pay billions and billions to rebuild it, just as we are spending billions to fight this proxy war. The war is fueling the next level of Brandon’s/Jerome Powell’s inflation spiral, is damaging the economies of our European allies and may precipitate a global food crisis that will lead to mass starvation and/or migration in the third world.

Seems like there could have been some room for compromise. Maybe Ukraine didn’t need to be a NATO member. Maybe we don’t even want them to be. I think that was 90% of Putin’s problem.

Exactly who is this war we chose serving?
