I think mine might be an older model - does not have a model designation stamped into the metal. Should make a good brush gun for deer. The early Remington autoloading rifles didn't have a model designation, but in 1911 they became the Model 8. (I also owned one of the early ones for a while, chambered in .35 Remington.)
