My wife and I don't fall into the description las made of renters above, but I understand that kind of trash is around.
Over the last years we have rented VRBO,s, Home Away,s etc 4 times in our area ( Flathead Lake, Hauser Lake, Georgetown Lake and Lake Sakakawea ND.) and have been pleased with them all and have had our deposit returned because of the way we left it!
All of them were there or represented by a stand-in to go over the rules and regs.
I think if you think you want to make extra money on a desirable place that you don't use year- round it would be worth a look!
If I had the money and would have know about that rental system years ago, I think I might have given it try.
I would never rent out a house for long term use though! I agree with las on that subject!
