I and my wife owned a vacation cabin in the Sierra of Tulare County in Calif., for 30 years. No way would we have ever rented it to anyone. As posters above have stated, renters could not care less about taking care of the place and the things therein.

Let 'em buy their own place and enjoy maintaining it.
