reading an article about a suburb area about 30 miles North of Scottsdale

heavily developed in the last 20 years. Got to the point they told developers that had developments of 5 or more houses they had to submit a multi-year water plan, so developers just increased the size of their lots so they built 4 houses to get around it.

Now all the shallow wells are running dry and Scottsdale has told the water delivery services they will no longer sell to them delivering outside the Scottsdale area.

For the moment the water delivery people have found alternative sources but that will end soon. These people living in $600K homes will be in a situation where they have to reuse water to flush a toilet.

Real Estate agent was asked if they is affecting home sales, she said people are still buying with the belief that authorities will not let people in expensive homes go without water, so people are still buying and houses are still being built.

The whole thing is crazy to me.
