There's more at play here. He knows he's not popular. He endorsed someone and they promptly lost. Who would fund his campaign? I think the bad guys are trying to split a vote, but that doesn't make sense either. He said his policies mirrored those of President Trump. He's an unintelligent deadpan tool.
