MM: Correct. Actually the USA in a big way caused WW2 by meddling and getting mixed up in WW1 where we had no business. And owning the Philippines when we should not have.
Ever stopped to think how much of that $30 TRILLION we owe is for foreign wars and mostly the unpaid interest on the money? Ever stopped to think how wealthy we could be if we could just not take sides in foreign affairs?
And you cannot state with any degree of probability that we ever gained anything from sending our military outside the country except maybe the times we were protecting our merchant ships. And I'm not talking about arms shipments favoring the ''allies" or enforcing blockades.
