Most of my old revolvers with fixed sights were OK... many tended to shoot low for me, so the front sights had to be filed down, but not generally very much (some of them... much).

New made pistols, on the other hand, all have HORRIBLY low shooting sights. I mean like 7", 8", 10" too low at like 15 yards. Ridiculously low. Front sights are too tall, rear sights are too short. Older versions of these same guns (if any) did not have sights like this. I have a theory why this is, but I probably couldn't prove it.
