Like others, I find that the older fixed sight guns shoot to POA as long as loads appropriate to their design and original purpose are used. About 10 years ago I bought a Bearcat and with much anger discovered it shot low and right by about 6 inches in both directions at 25 yards. Ruger stated it was within spec. I liked the gun otherwise, and it was accurate so I sent it off to David Clements for conversion to adjustable sights. It's been a favorite ever since.
