Many guides use my blades and I’ve found the more experienced the hunter/guide, the smaller the blade they choose to carry. Case in point is a very successful brown bear guide who works Unimak and Kodiak islands and has eight of my blades. All with 2 1/2” blades….that’s he uses on those huge critters. My elk guide buddies I hunt with prefer 3”-3 1/2” blades. No Havelons for any of them…. Last edited by Godogs57; 08/28/22. You only live once, but...if you do it right, once is enough.
