The snow.......about every 3-4 years it will really snow hard in early November, I have seen no snow at this time of year too. You never really can know for sure, but a guy could get snowed in if your not careful, which would be a disaster requiring a Cat, skidder or similar equipment to move a high volume of snow.

It is not just the volume of snow, rather the drifting of the snow that is deceptive...there may only be 12-16" but 3ft on the road somewhere, and if its on a hill then your in trouble, which is what happened to me 2 years ago. You gotta have chains and use them.

That Country will typically get 4-5ft by January, the elevation is around 5,000ft.
