Just a comment on the OP's mention of using a 9.3x62mm.
I brought the exact same rifle on my latest trip for more Cape Buffalo. Both the safari owner and the PH were pleased to see I had brought it and both asked to have a look at it. On holding it in their hands, the rifle seemed to be a time machine as they'd relate how their fathers and grandfathers shot everything using a 9.3.
They were interested to hear about the current state of the 9.3x62mm in the U.S., and the PH was very pleased when I left my remaining factory ammo with him.
