I discovered some other rare left-hand rifles. In 1937 Mossberg became the first rifle manufacturer to manufacture and sell a true mirror image left-hand bolt action rifle. They even made a dozen or so for Montegomery Wards. The left-hand rifles did not sell very well and I think the total production was less than 400. Mossberg did not put serial numbers on .22 rifles in those days, so it is difficult to know. I have three left-hand Mossbergs including one marked as Western Field (Wards). All three of mine are in very nice condition, especially considering their age. Does anyone have an older left-hand rifle?
