It broke my heart, but I had a .308 Remington Model 7 with a super nice walnut stock that I couldn't keep in a saucer at 100yds. I don't reload, but I tried lots of factory loads, with no help. It was the perfect rifle for a retired guy in the midwest. Maybe too light to hold steady. It's gone now.
