I have been working with the .375 H&H throughout the summer and have really grown fond of this classic caliber. It reminds me of an artillery shell! Anyway, the load I finally settled on for my Rem 700 XCR features the Barnes 270 grain TSX, in Rem neck sized brass, Fed GM215MAG primers, and over 72 grains of Vihtavuori N-540. Average muzzle velocity is only 2,614 fps out of my rifle, and finding this powder has become a real pain in the backside for me, but it really performs in my rifle. Heres a five shot and three shot group at 100 yards, as the rifles thin barrel heats up it strings vertically downward:

Hope to have the opportunity to bloody this load and rifle on an upcoming elk hunt in Northwestern Colorado later this month! grin
