^2nd. I don't think you can go wrong with an SV30 Gerber fixed blade.
I have a Benchmade folder in SV30 that is absolute junk, worst edge holder and absolutely refuses to take a proper aris, and I know how to get steel shaving sharp, Randalls, Bucks, Gerbers, no problem. Maybe I got a lemon.
