I tie a size 14 variation of your egg sucking bugger, in both black and olive. I haven't found beads that small, so I build up a nice round head using red thread.
The bluegill/redear sunfish go nuts over them, once they get in the shallows. Which was yesterday I'd cast the two weight, hook up, and let the boys reel 'em in. Most were dinks, but there were two 'gills that went about 8" or so. Plenty of fun for a two year old. Heck, even the four year old was smiling.
