I wouldn't overthink the throating issue, it will fit it your magazine and shoot basically the same velocity regardless.
Might try moly coating only a hundred or so bullets first, to see if you like it. It's not too hard to remove, but still.... I quit using moly years ago, and wish I would've stopped earlier, as sacreligious as that sounds .
