This pair of Walther Model B Sporter Mauser's for a but under a grand, a 7x57 and an 8x57. The latter appears unfired. This was in 2008 while living in Alberta.

This low 3 digit Ruger Maxi for $225 at a Houston gun show in 2006. Gun appeared unfired but, alas, no more. Chap just figured it a 357 BH.
