Been buying and trading guns since 1959, I've bought many guns at super cheap prices. BUT, last week a friend called me and said he'd just bought a large gun collection ( over 100 ), and he wanted me to come over and help price some of them. Rushed over and there was guns all over his garage, maybe 50+ military rifles, a bunch of older shotguns, ( nice ones too), and some old Winchesters. He asked me what turned me on, and I told him I always wanted a 92 Winchester. He handed me a nice 92 rifle on 38-40, And while admiring it, I said " if it was only a saddle ring carbine in 44-40". He reached around and went to the bottom of the box and handed me a 92 saddle ring carbine in 44-40. Thought I'd died and went to heaven. Gun was all original, no cracks in the wood and about 50% bluing. He said if you want it, it's yours for $450. Now that was my latest best deal.
