CC is not about individual school districts or how they "implement". Yes, the concerned static is rising because local folks are starting to really look into examples and some implications - this is good.

But, many of us don't grasp why and how CC is the most recent component in a larger progression - and the wide-angle picture of that progression is frightening. How many among us actually know the current processes/outcomes in most public schools - not merely the school we think we know - but the whole?

I cannot help but wonder how much - collectively - we care about the eventual educational level of a large percentage of our populace - and particularly regarding the abilty to think critically, for oneself.
