As eluded to previously the ZV line by Minox is their entry level scope and is quite different from the ZA line that has been discontinued. Back when the ZA line was offered I was in the market for a scope and looked at both the ZA and 4200 in 3-9x40. I ended up with the Minox due to the eye relief and it has been a very good scope for me. I have owned a lot of scopes from that size and general price point (Zeiss Conquest, Docter, Meopta Meopro, Leupold VX3, Nikon Monarch, Burris Signature and likely some I'm forgetting. Add the 4200 into that list and you are basically at a toss up unless ounces or a fraction of an inch are a deal breaker for you. None will likely ever be the difference in success or not (Bushnell Rainguard not withstanding). The ZV3 line from Minox will be bringing up the rear to all of the scope previously listed and it as priced as such.
