No question about that. I think that the 6500 series pretty much all of them have 4 inches of ER but they are on the heavy side compared to most Leupold's and light weight has been one of Leupold's biggest selling points. I was actually going to put a Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 on my 300 Win Mag but I got a great deal on the Leica ER so I thought, WTF, lets see what all the fuss is about. I know that John Barsness tested one and reported about it in one of his RLN issues. According to John there were no issues regarding tracking and, IIRC, he mounted it on one of his scope breaking light weights. It's no fly weight scope by any means, but it is on the lighter side of comparable scopes and for me, it had more positive features than negative ones.
