There are a number of scenarios that involve intelligent people having to make difficult decisions.

I think the OP's statement about everyone taking the shot being retarded is absurd. In watching all of this unfold and interacting with many that have had this shot I don't see a mental deficiency in any of them. But my circle of friends and family and all decent people. What I have seen is allot of fear generated decisions. Fear of death, fear of not having that job and fear of being limited as to where you can and can't go or participate in. That list is never ending. So who started all of this fear? I think that can be laid at the feet of those in power and those that have allot of influence. if at best it just suppresses the symptoms (as they are saying ) and it doesn't kill you or give you nasty side effects (which they are also saying but the data does not support) then it is basically like dosing yourself with cold medicine whether you have a cold or not... and if we follow the information about antibiotic use... that is just going to weaken your immune system like those kids whose parents keep them perpetually wrapped in an anti-bacterial cocoon.. oh and it will help develop "bugs" that are immune to the treatment....

mRNA remains experimental regardless of the FDA's stance. Moderna had all sorts of problems with their technology until suddenly the FDA decided they didn't. They never produced a single FDA approved product until the pandemic emergency. We will not know the real safety and efficacy of mRNA for another 18 to 24 months. How can we be so sure that was the case? Lotsa data was available on Coronaviruses. I think those trying to gain control knew this bio-weapon inside and out and used it to their gain.

Well, I must be retarded. My wife and I have had both shots plus the booster. I had two doctors’s appointments over the last couple of weeks (cancer and dermatologist) and they had both had their shots and were glad to hear that we’ve had ours. In the meantime I’ve run into two other doctor friends in town (surgeon and family practitioner) and they had both had theirs. They too, were pleased we had gotten the shots and were surprised that we’d had the booster too. If you think back to last fall before the election the main anti-vax push was from the Democrats. Biden, Cuomo, Camelhead, etc were saying that they weren’t going to get any vax that had Trump’s fingerprints on it unless it was investigated by their own group of doctors and scientists. Sooooooo, if you’re taking an anti-vax stand now, you may not believe it, but somewhere deep down inside, the Democrat argument during the election took root.

My perspective is roughly 30 percent of the population is extremely narrow minded and paranoid. Then roughly 15 percent of the population is following the paranoid and that collective is calling folks like me who chose to be vaccinated retarded. So What is it you expect for an outcome in the coming 10 years for the majority who chose to be vaccinated and those who chose not to be vaccinated. I think the OP's statement about everyone taking the shot being retarded is absurd. In watching all of this unfold and interacting with many that have had this shot I don't see a mental deficiency in any of them. But my circle of friends and family and all decent people. What I have seen is allot of fear generated decisions. Fear of death, fear of not having that job and fear of being limited as to where you can and can't go or participate in. That list is never ending. So who started all of this fear? I think that can be laid at the feet of those in power and those that have allot of influence. He then stood right in front of me while I was on the exam table (close enough I began to feel uncomfortable) and said, "61,000 people died from the flu last year." He then concludes with, "you're fine." If you want someone who will listen to you, show even a remote amount of bedside manner, and communicate with you in a respectful and helpful manner, this man is not your guy. The best thing to do if he enters your exam room is to leave -- before you have to experience his arrogance and condescending disrespect."

Under a section entitled “Persuasion”, the advisors from SAGE’s behavioural science sub-group the Scientific Pandemic Insights Group on Behaviours (SPI-B) noted that “a substantial number of people still do not feel sufficiently personally threatened” by the Chinese virus.
SPI-B went on to advise: “The perceived level of personal threat needs to be increased among those who are complacent, using hard-hitting emotional messaging. To be effective this must also empower people by making clear the actions they can take to reduce the threat.”
Indeed, some of the government messaging appeared to take on board the message that Britons needed to feel more “personally threatened”, using such “hard-hitting emotional messaging” such as the January ad campaign that claimed that seeing a friend for coffee could “cost lives”, or the dramatic videos of coronavirus patients in hospital which London Assembly Member David Kurten condemned as “emotionally manipulative propaganda”.
Vaccine mandates are exactly like seatbelt mandates in that they are driven by Insurance Carriers looking to lower their payouts.
There is no question that the vaccinated populace has lower health care costs than the non-vaccinated populace. Exactly like seat belt wearing populace has lower health care costs than those who do not wear seat belts.
I suppose many will discuss the reasons that those adults vaccinated for C-19 have significantly lower health care costs. But that discussion will not change the fact that the disparity exists.
I personally feel that a mandate for either is unconstitutional. So are building codes and zoning ordinances. But lots of people here love them.

The United States has the most expensive and least effective healthcare system in the developed world. To me, ‘that’ is a much bigger problem than Covid or Covid shot mandates. If businesses (via their insurance carriers) really gave a schit...instead of mandating just Covid shots...why don’t they mandate something that would fix ‘that’...?
