I just heard that loud mouth Sapp say that SF was going to hang 35 on the Hawks...Hawks have out scored the Warty Vaginers 76-16 last two home games. Look for Lynch to have a monster game in addition to Golden Tate. Old school smash mouth throw back game. GO HAWKS!!!!!!
My foosball interest ended with the defeat of the Chefs. That said, I look for the Seahawks to end the SF [bleep]'s season. I have no idea whether it will be New England or Indy. Probably Indy since it looks like everybody is supposed to lay down for Peyton this year.
Sorry about your Chiefs, I've always liked them. I remember when Seattle was is the AFC, Derick Thomas R.I.P had like 7 sacks on Dave Kreig
Kreig used to play for us. I went to school with two of Johnny Robinson's kids and Jan Stenarud lived a few blocks behind me. I trick or treated at his house. Thomas and Neil Smith were awesome. I lived in KC growing up but in the south part. Thomas was up around the airport which is in the north part. It's unbelievable how much more bad winter weather they get up there.
I would like to see the Seahawks win but it is just a game. It isn't worth insulting others over a game. I am at my sons house about fifteen miles from the stadium but we won't be watching. It is jus a game.

I agree but to me it's not like whether it's worth insulting others, it's more like an opportunity to do so. I know okok understands and agrees with this, right amigo? heheheh
Think of it, a game between S F where everybody is queer and Seattle where everyone is queer could end up in a huge X rated love fest on the fifty yard line.

Dude, Peyton plays for DENVER now!!!
And go 9ers!
Broncos...Colts, whatever. Both a bunch of geldings.

Okok: GO HAWKS! I also would be surprised if the 49'ers score 35 point in the Beast Quake stadium! The VarmintSon gets to go to this game for FREE - he will be monitoring and maintaining the seismometers he placed there 3 weeks ago so's the media types can keep track of the Beast Quakes! I am starting to tire a bit of the non-stop media analysis of every personality and pimple like topic they can muster up. Ahhh.... well maybe I am just nervous about the upcoming game. The only analysis I can make is that these two teams are VERY GOOD and they know each other VERY WELL. Could come down to turnovers, breaks and bad calls deciding the outcome. We'll see. I agree with you also that this is going to be an in your face tough-fest for sure! GO HAWKS! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
Hillestadj: How did that Wisconsin pro-team make out this year? Looks like either San Fran or Seattle will be "matching up" with the Broncos in the Super-Bowl! The Broncos have a 17 point lead in the third quarter - for anyone without a TV. GO HAWKS! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
My brother and I discussed last night about the games and both decided it would be the Pats and the Niners. I was skeptical of Manning because of his poor post season record but it looks like he has put that behind him today. I still feel the Niners will beat the Chickens but really don't care one way or another.
Having been a Packer fan for over sixty years I don't get to excited about these games if they are not in them.
I think that calls like that last personal foul of the half are a direct result of the way that the teams have presented themselves in the games leading up to this one. In last week's games in particular, it seemed that the NFC teams were much more interested in establishing themselves as tough guys while the AFC teams were content to play the game. I have never cared for teams that want to be known for their toughness rather than for their ability.

+1 to this.
The Refs are tired of the BS chippy after the play crap. You shove a receiver from behind on a dead ball its 15yd penalty been that way forever in the rules.
But just as I predicted earlier in the week defense will win this game. Only bright spot for SF is the running by Kapernick. The bright spot for the Hawks was the Baldwin catch.
At least it's been a decent game so far. Not the blowout that some predicted it to be.
I don't think the Seachicks can score on the 9er's DF, whom are really playing well. Russell Wilson is pretty much just running for his life back there after the snap and Lynch hasen't even been a factor, yet.
A couple of more big runs by Kapernick, and this game is over!
At least he's got enough class not to act like frickin monkey out there celebrating. I like the fact that he shook hands with his teammates instead of high fiving & booty bumps.

Mine too, but I'm pulling for the Broncos. I despise anything that has to do with Assachewsitts except S&W and Savage and was happy to see the Patriots sent packing.
There are plenty enough Seattle [bleep] in the harbor and cannery to know I'm not going to cheer for them, and SF......we all know whats wrong with that place.
And then they have to talk about a call that's not even subjective. If the ball doesn't go past the line of scrimmage it's intentional grounding. They tried to get out of calling it. No conversation necessary.
The big whigs in the nfl have to be shaking their heads going these refs are horrible
No. I'm sure the refs are just doing what they were ordered to do. I guess they don't want an influx of homo's in NY.
And another bad call this game is horrible. I watched a game earlier and refs were pretty damn good. But this one [bleep] seahawks better pray these refs are working the superbowl
I'm all for the Hawks but that's a missed call. Due to ruling of fumble on the field who recovers isn't reviewable. Hard to say what angle the refs had but the reply is clear.
Hawks got away with one there and horrible to see such an injury to a great player. The Miners will be really hurting without him.
Absolute Schitt officiating both ways today. The Niners have gotten some gifts as well.
What a classless Sherman! He's a total POS. And they get away with interference on every freakin' play. Hopefully they'll call that crap in the Super Bowl. No way should they get away with that when nobody else does.

There was no glory in the Seahags win. They're classless.
Manning is going to own the seahawks and that pos conerback seattle has... He will march down the field and make seattle look like peewee football team.

Really???? As if Kapernicks fake ass superman rip off celebration or his little hand waving at the Hawks fans. Funny how the SME [bleep] gets people fired up...... pot meet kettle!!!!

From reading this I am saddened that Seattle did not win without the help of the zebras. I wish they would have won it straight up.Sitting in my son's living room, looking across the water even mostly deaf I can still hear the celebration. Fireworks all round me.
Now for the SB. I hope Seattle wins but I am not holding my breath.

Scott...they won't have the officials to keep things close for them. Broncos and their talent will kick some classless-azz.
Poor old Randy Savage is dead and gone, but the democrat from Seattle at the end of the game did his best to sound just like him. "OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
You must have bumped your head. Kapernick is the most egotistical self absorbed jackass of a QB. Taunting another QB by mocking his dance. Yep pure class there. The whiny ass 49'ERS got served and didn't display any class what so ever they talk as much [bleep] as any team.

Not sure about that. For some reason, the Seasucks' secondary has been given the green light to hold and push and do things that nobody else can do. I think the refs called one holding penalty on them.or maybe it was interference. But they could have called one on every SF passing play.

Just goes to show that you can take the Rat out of the hood, but you can't take the Hood out of the Rat! What a total dipshiitt and a waste of an post game interview.

I could be legendary in the NFL if they let me tackle the WR every time before he gets off the line. Not too difficult and there's a reason why it's against the rules.
I have met Kaepernick many times and know that he is a young man with a great deal of class and humility. He loves to play football, and that is what many take as showboating. His enthusiasm sometimes gets in the way of the game he's playing. It's about the only fault he has.
as a long time niner fan, Im talking WA tittle, John Brodie, blah blah blah, I actually liked the loss by the niners because whenJim Harbaugh benched Alex Smith a year ago, I knew then that wonderboy Kapernick would not get it done, he isnt smart, talent k yes, but sorry folks, he isnt smart..................... should have kept Alex Smith.....................go Hawks!!!!

I've heard many interviews and I have the same view of him as you.
You don't know Crabtree and you definitely don't know WTH you're talking about.
Gee your right I don't know Crab tree nor do you but keep guessing as to Crabtree's character. He has talked [bleep] to Sherman all year and got his just dessert.
And before you go guessing some more or basing a half ass decision on what you see on TV or even my opinions maybe I should let you in on a tip.......
I have had season tickets for 11 years now and am at the game as I have been at every home game for 11 years. Crabtree talks as much [bleep] as anyone.....
Speaking of interviews, did anyone listen to the requisite Babe on The Field, Pam Oliver? She filled the babe qualification nicely but she also spoke fluent English. She's black but she has no gutter accent at all. You don't hear that very often.

Luv2 I would love to believe you but I've seen how he handles himself.on the sideline s. The company I work for provides EMS transport and have multiple friends with Seattle fire. He may be a good guy off the field but to my eyes and those of friends who work the field he's a thug

I used to have a dream that professional athletes could all be exemplary human beings. Eventually, I became more realistic and wished that they could all just be normal human beings. Now, I just wish that they could all be human beings.

You do find it in Tacoma and Seattle, not everywhere but is is not all that uncommon. There are plenty of fine educated black folks in my part of the country and that may help explain my lack of bigotry.

Have you met him? You might change your mind. I do hope success doesn't screw him up, however. It happens.

My kids met Crabtree and talked to him more than once. I have a football autographed by him for me personally. He is a good kid, no doubt. I wouldn't let my kids anywhere near Sherman.
Specifics, let's see today he whined all day, slammed his helmet down, talked [bleep] from the sidelines, mocked other players (need i find a video of his epeleptic "superman" taunt last week) he talks poorly about other players. He has been anything but a class act this year in Seattle.
Sherman needs to calm the hell down and talk less for sure as it takes away from his great playing ability. He may not be the best in the league but it would be crazy to say he isn't in the top few.
All I can say for sure is the Niners didn't exhibit much more class today and the league as a whole needs to get it under control.
I can also tell you that the Niners secondary committed just as much holding of receivers today.
We will see how Sherman plays against a couple of classy NFL recievers like Welker & Decker in the SB in two weeks. I'll bet he shows his azz then, too.
And 15 year vet Champ Bailey is still twice the CB that Sherman thinks he is!
SB will be a great came, but the Seachickens can't hang with Peyton & the boys. Peyton won't hand over the ball to the Hawks 3 or 4 times, and the Hawks won't have the home field Zebras to help them win the SB.
My kids met Crabtree and talked to him more than once. I have a football autographed by him for me personally. He is a good kid, no doubt. I wouldn't let my kids anywhere near Sherman.
See and I have met Sherman 3 times and worked a charity event he participated in. He's actually very well spoken, kind and polite in person. He is VERY well known in the Seattle area for time and money he puts into many local charities.
I suppose both players are very different off the field. Both are clearly passionate and perhaps both need to learn to control it better and let their play speak for them.
I'll be the first to say the trash talking has been allowed to go too far but its league wide
Speaking of interviews, did anyone listen to the requisite Babe on The Field, Pam Oliver? She filled the babe qualification nicely but she also spoke fluent English. She's black but she has no gutter accent at all. You don't hear that very often.

Now don't be going against the 24HCF narrative.
I am already in the Campfire doghouse so why not this time too. Fact is as long as I am here I might as well decorate and make it comfortable.

Trash talking during the game is part of football. Calling an opposing receiver a "sorry receiver" after the game during an interview is not trash talking. I wish it hadn't happened, because it's bad for the game. Kape mimicking Cam's superman move after a touchdown during a game isn't anywhere near the same as what Sherman did. I don't know why you can't admit that it was classless and stop putting it on the same level as trash talking during a game. Even my 11-yr old trash talks during a game and I get on to him for it. But that's just part of it.
Now for Crab. Hopefully he will refrain from saying anything about the Sherman interview, although the media won't stop until they fan the flames and get him to say something stupid.
Back to crowd noise penalties and quit "letting them play". There are far too many pass interference no calls all around the league.
No...H@LL NO...I don't want it to turn into flag football, but the game has rules; play by them or die when you don't.
I agree 110% there is so much talent league wide that gets lost in the playground BS that is being overlooked.
I've about had enough of the Targeting penalties too. A runner drops his shoulder and you hit him high is a 15 yd penalty???? Pure BS... lead with the helmet or clearly intentionally target no problem.
I'm also about over all the illegal blocks I'm the back and chop blocks you see play after play with nary a flag.
They need to go back to the rules of the 70's and 80's. Good clean physical football. This "if you ain't cheating your losing crap needs to go.
I also have to step back an earlier statement and say the post game interview with Harbaugh on the radio showed class. During the game he was his usual whiny self, after was pure class! No whining or excuses just gave the Hawks kudos on the well played and hard won game and said they flat outplayed the Niners and deserved tje win today.

Now they lose in the Super Bowl but Harvin gets in on a few snaps after squirting Vagisil up his he-puss for the next 2 weeks and toughing through those debilitating brain cramps of his.
Or they'll win and you'll still look like an ass hat. Either one is fun to watch.

I never said the statement by Sherman was anything but classless and have said several times in this thread alone let alone all year that Sherman needs to quit running his mouth. It was a very poor thing to do and say but I think in all reality his emotions got the best of him and from what I've seen off the field I wouldn't be at all surprised if he as well doesn't admit it was wrong.
Also I have a close friend who's cousin works for the Hawks on the field and can tell you unequivocally that noone in the Hawks coaching group tolerates the taunting and disrespect of other players. I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear him say Pete Carroll ripped him a new ass for it as well.
My whole point is it isnt just Sherman or the Hawks its damn near an epidemic in the league
Okok's season long behavior as a [bleep] winner makes me want to hate the 'Hawks, but I hate Harbaugh and that arab/thug looking Kapernick even more.
It's like an election and rooting for who I hate less this Superbowl.
Now what ???
What do you mean, "now what"? I don't hate the 'hawks. Never did. In fact, my wife and I rooted for them in the Superbowl the year they lost to the Steelers.
My point, which you obviously missed, is that your lack of humility makes a poor loser seem preferable to siding with you in any way.
May the best team win, and I don't care who that is.

Well. The spotlight is definitely on him now. I guess we'll see what kind of character he has in the days to come. But I'm betting against him.
You chit talkers sure got quite all of the sudden. LMAO!
OK, okok, I'm here. And, I'll extend sincere "CONGRATS" on advancing. Won't wish you "Good Luck" going forward but Seaderall was the better NFC team this evening.
Regardless of the outcome in two weeks, I'll be here next August/September to rile you up next season.
I bet you'll see some indication he apologizes to Crabtree whether Crabtree says it, Sherman does, it hits Twitter, something.
All I can say for sure is in the 2 games I saw in person and what I saw on the game in SF those 2 have both been going at it all year.
Both are absolute talents but both need to chill and just play.
You really hit the nail on the head in am earlier post. Now that the statement is out there the pundits and chitstirrers will fan the flames and make a very sad situation worse.

WE are the c-talkers and haters?? HA!! Now that's funny.
Still one more to go pee wee. After that you might finally understand the business dynamics of the NFL while you watch about 1/3 of the SEA squad go where the money is. It's called Money Ball man and there are 2-3 premiere teams about to deal with it. Money Ball man! Read all about it.
For the record, I never said I hated SEA -- the football team or the state.

You really hit the nail on the head in am earlier post. Now that the statement is out there the pundits and chitstirrers will fan the flames and make a very sad situation worse.
Sherman is being interviewed on the radio now and they asked him about the comment. He said something along the lines of being caught up in the moment and excitement. Not exactly an apology nor does it make it right I concur but at least an acknowledgement it shouldn't have occurred.
Also sounds like the Hawks are considering filing a complaint with the league due to a nonuniform player on the Niners sidelines pushing then tripping a Seahawks player after he ended up on their sidelines after a play.
You chit talkers sure got quite all of the sudden. LMAO!
Your creditability is pretty much shot too byc, hell you thought the deadskins were going to win the NFC west. Our defense will kick da chit out of Denver...
Sounds good....you saved some bullets too.

If by "bird dog" you mean your secondary will be interfering and holding receivers and not getting called for it, I agree. But there's no comparing Russell and Manning head-to-head unless you're a total dumbazz.

it seems to me fans of the game and not just a team can plainly see that Seattle has one of the best and most complete secondary units we've seen in some time.
being a fan of defense and not particularly liking the way the rules have been changed to make NFL seem more like a pinball game I really appreciate good defenses.
very good DF line,
decent linebackers
superb secondary for Seattle
very good DF line
superb linebacking corps
and a decent secondary unit for SF
in the pass happy league the NFL has become, advantage Seahawks as was evidenced tonite.
was so glad to see the Lynch fumble negate the terrible non call on the fumble strip by Navvaro, (sp?) that was a great play, too bad his team mate crashed into the running back and snapped his knee like that. Dang near a Theisman moment....brrrr
I think the best team won tonight.
and even though I don't like your particular style of support for your team, I think your assessment and the subsequet qb rating you posted summed up the game in a nutshell.
it might be that Kap has an edge on Wilson on talent, but not brains evidently, the game wasn't decided by refs imo&o but by the players.
and again imo it came down to this, after Kap moving his team downfield for a chance at the win, and staying away from Sherman most of the game, he went for brok to Crabtree up against Sherman
and got it broke off in his azz for his trouble, too bad Sherman's actions after the play and his subsequent interview when game emotion was running high clouded an otherwise incredibly talented and smart play by Sherman. that was a helluva an effort that resulted in the INT.
but on that play, Boldin was wide open on the sideline on the other side, particularly since he didn't go much off the line of scrimmage. Kap never looked his way, he was going Crabtree all the way it seemed to me.
who knows if he'd thrown to Boldin, a gain of 4-8 yards, step out of bounds????
we'll never know and no sense speculating upon it. but in game film if they are to grade Kap accurately, I believe it will be pointed out to him, his error on that play.
I thought it was a great game, and a game of inches, the SF db almost swatted the TD pass away but his timing was off and Wilson put it on his receiver even against great coverage.
Sherman didn't mistime his swat, he made a great play.
And I thoroughly enjoyed the game, it was exciting, with hard hitting, some great individual effort and plays and anyone's ballgame for the entire contest.
Seattle has a very good team and based upon their body of work this season and this game they very much deserve to represent the NFC in the big dance.
but I'll be surprised indeed, if they don't find Manning a more formidable adversary than Kapernick even though I think it's unlikely he'll scamper for over 100 yards.
Seahawk fans are the worst. They have done enough talking to win three Lombardi trophys. They think their 12th man is something special, dudes, your team built an acoustically loud stadium, Hawk fans were nothing in the King Dome.
Hawk fans are like Charger fans on steroids. Never done a thing, but dynasties in their own minds. If you lose in NY, you'll fade right back into irrelevancy just like San Diego.
There is a general lack of discipline throughout the NFL Coaches need to get tough and start laying out fines to get players under control. It's not just the talk but also the needless penalties for dead ball fouls. It's stupid to shut down a then and then get a personal foul for some of the crap I see.

Butt hurt? Not at all. I'm simply rooting for players from my alma-mater. Denver has 3 starters from TTU on their team. Seattle zero. SF has Crabtree. Patriots have Amendola.

The league needs to get involved and sling suspensions around freely; that would get some attention.

Yep. Some of the coaches aren't exactly bastions of integrity. Carroll's up at the front of the pack.
Have to give credit to San Fran, they didn't whine or make excuses for their loss and showed class. A lot of their fans on here could learn a lot from them.
Am disappointed with a certain Seahawk, he could use some class and humility himself.

They need to be concerned with Kapernick, when the chips were down, he Romo'd big time. His legs will only take him a few more years.
Like I told you clowns....this is a dynasty in the making!!!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!
I don't mind folks getting excited when their team wins but okok sounds like a little banty rooster with all his crowing.
Seattle had probably better win this year if they are going to put a win in their Super Bowl statistics. If they don't they may not get another chance with this group of players because of a couple of things called "salary cap" and "free agency". These things can rearrange a player roster pretty quick.
From studying their player contract situation these two things most likely won't treat them well in the very near future.
You chit talkers sure got quite all of the sudden. LMAO!

Really? I could have sworn I proposed this wager long before the NFC Championship game (the two regular season games as well as the playoff game between the 'Niners and Packers) and you NEVER responded, yea or nay. Not one peep. I considered proposing this bet one more time, this week, but given your track record as a coward, figured you would have been unresponsive, once again.
While the team you root for won today, fair and square, if the manner in which you comport yourself here is indicative of Seahawk fans, your fan-base is, truly, the worst in the NFL.
Again, I am genuinely curious as to why you remain an active member on this forum. As I have observed in an earlier thread, this is a hunter/outdoorsman/gun enthusiast-based forum and you appear to be none of these. Perhaps my observation is incorrect but, based on where you participate here, I doubt it.
Like I told you clowns....this is a dynasty in the making!!!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!
I might add that presently eighteen teams have a better super bowl record than Seattle does. If for some un-for-seen reason they happen to beat the Broncos there will still be fifteen teams with a better super bowl record than them.
Crab said Sherman's a TV guy and I ain't a TV guy. He did say that was the only play Sherman made during the whole game. So he did get a dig in. But he refused to discuss it when pressed and he was right about that being the only play he made.
Meanwhile, in a subsequent interview, Sherman said Crabtree was a "mediocre" receiver. He's classless. That wasn't heat of the moment as some have argued the Erin Andrews interview could have been. And ESPN didn't even have the ballz to replay Erin's interview. I guess they will sweep it under the rug and build Sherman up as the greatest person in the whole NFL. LOL.
It would be one hell of a comnute but I'll give Bob a place to stay while he digs his way out of this one. I just pray he doesn't pick Seahawks for the SB.
Idared: Sounds like you are in the sore loosers column? Isn't Seattles team relatively NEW to the NFL? If I recall correctly the Seattle Seahawks came into being in the year 1976! If in some roundabout, underhanded, anger motivated way you are trying to denigrate the Seattle Seahawks then you are doing a pisspoor job of it! THE Seattle Seahawks are nothing less than the SECOND BEST team in all of the NFL this year! Nothing, a pipsqueak like yourself (and a few others around here!) can utter will change that! I will say this though, the game today (the WAR!) between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49'ers was a lot CLOSER than the final score! Seattle won that game over an EXCELLENT 49'ers team by the skin of their bloodied teeth! And I would like to expound on that last a bit - I think the San Francisco 49'ers could have handily won that game today had things changed just a tad here and there! And, I think the 49'ers, on any given Sunday, could best this years Denver Broncos if they played their up to par! I am just thankful the Seahawks came from behind (twice?) and came out on top in the end. The pictures our son sent us from THE press box at Century Link Field during the game were just awesome! He said it was an amazing and electrifying game. I am so happy for him to have been in the right place at the right time to get to see this game in person (and for free!). I see the Seattle Seahawks are 1 (one!) point under-dogs to the great Denver Broncos team for the coming Super-Bowl! I guess we'll see about that? GO HAWKS! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Witness this fact - the the young 49'er quarterback has only been intercepted 11 times this year TOTAL - and Seattles secondary was responsible for 6 of those interceptions over their three games. The whole Seahawks team (both offense and defense and the coaches!) just fought and clawed their way back into the game and then fought and clawed their way into the lead TWICE (IIRC?)! I do so hope that the injured San Francisco players leg will heal - that was an unfortunate and unintentional injury. The Seahawks can be VERY proud of their season this year and VERY proud of their win today. I wish the Seattle Seahawks a better start in the up coming Super-Bowl than they had today. GO HAWKS! Now calm down - I thought Mr. Kaepernick played a worthy and great game and conducted himself as a gentleman after the game in all his interviews. I do wonder what all the tatoos are about but that is just my thought on that. Have a cup of coffee and let the adrenaline ease away. GO HAWKS! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

First of all I don't care if the Seahawks win or lose. If they win fine. If they lose that is fine also. Your stating I am trying to denigrate the Seattle Seahawks is a joke because I don't care about them or whether they win or lose. The fact they will be in the super bowl means little to me other than I have to listen to folks around here tell of their great accomplishments.
What I do have a problem with is when some fan of theirs continually crows that they are a dynasty in the making when they finally win their SECOND NFC Championship. This is pure BS and if you have any brains you know that as well as I do. There have been precious few teams in the NFL that could be known as somewhat dynasties in their times and the Seahawks ain't about to become one. I grew up in a time when a team I rooted for was as close to being a dynasty in its time as any. Five NFL Championships in seven years is nothing to sneeze at and even with a record like that the team couldn't keep continually winning. It's even harder to accomplish anything close to that in the league today for the very reasons I stated, namely salary cap and free agency.
By your statement Seattle has been in the NFL for over 35 years. In that time they have a 0 and 1 record as far as NFL Championships are concerned. If they win the super bowl they will have a .500 wining percentage. Nothing more, nothing less. If they lose they will still have a .000 winning percentage something nine other teams than them have presently. Before their fans start bragging about being a dynasty I suggest they look at what some other teams have accomplished in the same length of time.
I might add I don't fault any fan for being happy that their team does well. I'm glad your son had a pleasant experience at the game because I know the feeling. But I might add one person can spoil the excitement for a lot of people by making stupid remarks and I know I am not alone in feeling this has been the case here.
Lastly, you have a right to think I am a sore loser but nothing could be funnier. I stated up front I didn't care who won this game and why. I made no comments about the game itself or the refs. If that makes me a sore loser in your eyes then so be it.The best 4 reasons I can show you I don't care about this game or the coming Super Bowl is shown below.
Enjoy the Super Bowl. I don't care who wins and won't be cheering for either team.
okok, I'm as big as a Seahawk fan as there is, was up at 0230 here to root them on. Been a fan since Zorn and Kreig were hucking it to Largent, the embarrassment of Bosworth and remember when John L Williams was our leading receiver for what seemed like forever. I have alot of friends that are niner fans, Saint fans, all the teams we have beat for the most part. A little smack talking is fun, but dude chill out. You don't have to call out everyone who said the Hawk's would lose. Have a little bit of class, enjoy the win and don't be a douche about it. It's still just a game where grown men get paid WAY to much to play, and ultimately the game has ZERO effect on most peoples lives.
Pay back for too many clowns talking chit about the Hawks...told all these clowns they were destine to go to the SB....just pay back back to the HATERS!!!!!

+1 truer words never spoken.
Easy to get wrapped up in the enthusiasm but at the end of the day its still just a game. Aside from some good natured smack talking, and some pride and elation in our favorite teams it really doesn't effect any of our lives come tomorrow.
At the end of the day the Seahawks got the win but the Niner's played their asses off and very easy the result could have been different. It was a good hard fought game by both teams and neither has a single reason to either gloat about it or hang their heads.
Congrats to the Seahawks on a great win in a hard-fought game. In the end they prevailed against the gayboys and now they get a trip to the Superbowl. Don't really understand all the hate here for the 'hawks. They deserve the bowl trip and hopefully they will beat the [bleep] out of the Geldings. A big sorry to all the haters out there and a huge "good luck" to the Seahawks, the best team in the NFC!

My team has been out of the picture for the last ten years, in that time I continue to watch the playoffs and the Superbowl not really rooting or caring who wins or who loses. The Seahawks and their fans are some of the worst smack talkers I have encountered in some time. The fact that they have never won a frigging thing, but yet their fans do not go into the game with an additude of "I hope we play well, I hope we can pull it off", rather they talk smack about how they are the best, our fans are the best and not just around this forum
Man I'm a Raider fan down the road from a million plus 49er fans, the same 49er fans whose team has FIVE Superbowl wins in SIX appearances. The Niner and Raider fans have a cross Bay rivalry, and yet I have never heard this much smack talk out of them with five trophies in their case.
The Seahawks built a stadium with acoustics that give the sound nowhere to escape, now the Hawk fans think they are something special, better fans than those who site in ice cold weather in some states, and are just as passionate about their teams.
There is that old saying, "act like you have been there before".
In reality I could have cared less who wins the SB, but I'll be pulling for one of our divisional rivals, just in hopes of shutting these cocky hawk fans the hell up. I guess I shouldn't blame them though, they have never been winners so it should stand to reason they DON'T know how to act like they have been there before.
Have to give credit to San Fran, they didn't whine or make excuses for their loss and showed class. A lot of their fans on here could learn a lot from them.

Would like to add to my earlier statement. A certain Seahawk, and fan (okok) could use some class and humility. For [bleep] sake, shut up already. You do make us Hawk fans look like jackasses.
It will be a sad day when my life revolves around a football team and I say "we" and "us" like I actually play for them... oh I forgot the "12th man" counts as being on the team LMAO

A lot of truth to that! (And I like the 'hawks!)

You call me pathetically naive and ignorant? [bleep] you!
I never said he was the only instigator. Classy players know when to trash talk. Classless clowns like Sherman call their opponents "sorry receivers" and "mediocre" after the game is over in two separate interviews. There's no room for that in professional sports. It just shows that he is truly a classless POS. Obviously you didn't read all I said. I've personally met and had conversations with Crabtree and he's taken the time to talk to my kids. Even any dummy that watched Crab's locker room interview can see the difference between him and Sherman.
You're the one that's pathetic and naive and ignorant. Completely ignorant.
Sherman will be defense player of the year in the NFL....book it! talk the talk walk the walk. hehehehehhe LOB!
That is sad. He should be held to a higher standard on and off the field if he's so good. But obviously the seasucks fans love his classless antics because they are classless themselves. There's lots of kids watching and they're learningthey're learning.
Where is Scott telling me how wrong I am about how [bleep] most of the people in the PNW are?
This tread is a ringing endorsement.
I'm seeing plenty of evidence of that here. Learning a lot! Wanted to take my kids up there for vacation soon because I've never seen it. Now thinking I can go to my grave without seeing any of it. Feel the same way about NYC and most of Kalifornia and now Colorado is inching up maybe neck and neck with WA (with apologies to KDK).
Sherman will be defense player of the year in the NFL....book it! talk the talk walk the walk. hehehehehhe LOB!
I've been in the locker room with some of the best hockey players ever at charity games.
The way they act and their attitude in general is why I respect hockey players about a million times more than football or basketball players.
I will always remember the story about an "agitator" on the Red Wings a few years ago stood up on the bench and started chirping at Joe Sakic as he skated by. One of his teammates pulled his ass back down into the sitting position and told he he wasn't allowed to say a damn thing to Joe. Said agitator STFU.
As it should be.
Sherman is a classless POS. How skilled he is doesn't change that. They are not mutually exclusive.
There is definitely some bad blood there. He was the leading receiver for Stanford until Harbaugh basically dropped him in the depth chart and then moved him to defense to get him out of his hair, so he had added incentive to burn Harbaugh and the 49'ers.
The guy graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA and is a Stanford grad as well - you have to have some brains to pull that off.
Comes from a working class family, his dad is a garbage man and he'd go out with dad at 4am on occasion to help him with his route growing up.
IF... you think young Mr. Sherman was the complete and sole instigator and sole participant in the days "banter" then you are pathetically naive and ignorant of what you contend. I don't doubt that trash was talked by all concerned. The difference is that most players can leave it on the field and not make complete fools of themselves on the air.

Nobody is criticizing Sherman's performance on the field, just his embarrassing performance off it.
Otherwise I agree with you, a very close and hard fought game.
I liked it the post game interview. He didn't curse and he threw out some good old fashion smack - like an old WWF interview
fun stuff.
And he is just daring Manning to test him.
makes for a good game.
You take the leading receiver for Stanford as a freshmen, and turn him into a corner - no wonder the guy is so good, he can read the offense like no one else.
Yea. Crabtree is a "sorry receiver". He's really "mediocre". Be sure to watch the slow-mo replay. The announcers even dared to call him the "best wide receiver in college football". Huh.
That's Baron Batch, the former Pittsburgh Steeler before he blew his knee out during a kickoff return, in the background.
It is what it is... But stick a microphone in anyone's mouth 30 seconds after the final play in a game like that, and very few will pull it off well. Give um a little slack.

Actually he attacked Crabtree on a personal level in a later interview as well. That's the one I saw on Sportscenter. They didn't replay the earlier Erin Andrews interview during the sportscenter I watched last night.

This is a lame excuse. If you watch ANY sports at all you will see interviews right after. This includes MMA and boxing.
No.it's part of the game. Even NFL players from the good ole' days trash-talked. Has it gone to another level? Yes. But it's still part of the game and always will be. Basketball, football, and now even baseball. It's here to stay. But the actions off the field or after a game is what makes a man.a man.
Only classless pieces of crap continue the antics after a game is over. Then it's not trash-talkingit's just worthless dribble and personal insult.
Priest Holmes, the superb running back for the Kansas City Chiefs in the early 2000s, would shake his head every time we talked about postgame interviews. The whole thing just didnt make any sense to him. Holmes was no taller than 5-foot-9, by midseason he probably weighed 200 pounds, he wasnt exceptionally fast by football standards. He had blown out one knee, blew it out again, got his hip knocked out of joint and had been hit so hard he was not sure how he made it to the sidelines.....................After a game, he would need a half hour of massage and an hour in a hot tub just to feel something close to human again. This is not unique. This is football.
Do you have any idea what kind of mental state I have to get myself into to play a game? he would ask.
No, I would say.
Its pretty extreme, he said. Its like I have to become another person. Its like I have to become a warrior. We all do.
.....................Then he would smile and shake his head and say, And then, five minutes after the game ends, yall are asking us questions about how we feel and what did we think of this play, and whats it like to lose, and were supposed to talk like none of that just happened.
.......... I have no idea what Richard Sherman has to do to himself to play professional football at the level he plays it. I have no idea what his state of mind must be like when hes trying to match up to the violence of the moment. When Priest Holmes would finish games, he would almost never come out to his locker to talk. Sometimes, though, I would wait for him. An hour, an hour and a half. Sometimes two. The locker room would be empty. The equipment guys would ask me to turn out the lights when I left. Finally, he would limp out, and he would walk over to his locker, and he would slowly put on his clothes. And we would talk.
I dont see how those guys do it, he would say of the players who had already spoken to the press. If I had to talk right after the game, Id say the craziest things youve ever heard.
I don't know. I've watched tons and tons and tons of interviews on the field after games over the years and I've never seen or heard anything like that. He should have kept walking if he was out of his mind. Why stop to do the interview if you're not yourself. Take a fine or whatever happens when you don't make yourself accessible to the media. At least Priest Holmes was classy enough to know and practice restraint. I remember Priest Holmes when he played for UT. He was a beast.
I didn't care who won that game last night but I did think the roughing the kicker and knee snapped "fumble" were pretty lame.
The "fumble" was pretty lame. Bowman (the 49er) stripped the ball from the Seahawk, and fell to the ground while maintaining possession. That should have been that. But I can see how it might have been missed and it's unfortunate that it's not subject to replay, because it could have been called correctly. Justice was served when Seattle fumbled on the next play.
OTOH, the roughing the kicker being called as "running into the kicker" was inexcusable. Here's the rule direct from the rulebook:
Quote
Item 1: Roughing the kicker. It is a foul for roughing the kicker if a defensive player: (a) contacts the plant leg of the kicker while his kicking leg is still in the air....
Note: When in doubt, it is a foul for roughing the kicker. 2013 NFL rule book, Rule 12, Section 2, Article 10
There was no question whatsoever that the kicker was hit on the plant leg while his kicking leg was still in the air. There is no way this should have been called "running into". The official must have simply forgotten the rule and that's just unforgivable. Worst call I've ever seen in the NFL.
Moral of the story: If you don't want to risk having the game turn on a blown call or a fluke play, build at least a two touchdown lead.
That was ugly. Roughing on the kick, yes. Fumble recovery at the half-yard line, yes. Seattle did not really deserve to win this game. And that trash talk at the end was really unclass. I'm from the Northwest, and hate the Broncos...so I'm not sure if I'm going to bother to watch the Super Bowl.
I don't get some of y'all. okok is on here, supporting his team, he's got maybe a dozen Niners fans on his ass. What do y'all expect? As to trash talk. Joe Namath was hated by the older generation for many years after he accurately predicted that they'd win over the Colts. Johnny U was beloved even though he lost the game. He had a flattop hairdo. He was "classy". Some of y'all think this [bleep] is brand new. Get real, it ain't.
I'm not a niners fan, either. But the league allowing the Seasucks to get away with the interference and holding is beyond me. I guess they know what they're doing, but they're making less and less of a fan of me. I'll watch the super bowl and I'll root for Manning. But I guarant-damm-tee you I will be drunk off my azz and won't care who wins in the end.
Unfortunately in obamaworld.the good guy always loses.

Some of you guys being butt-hurt over some game is amazing. The Chiefs would have beaten the Chargers sending the Steelers into the playoffs instead of San Diego, had the refs not blown a call on a field goal at the end of the game. The NFL even admitted the glaring error. Nothing was done. Nothing can be done. It's the human factor and it's part of what makes the game. Why don't y'all put your big girl panties on and either root for Denver against the Seahawks or go watch some Women's NBA or something.
I imagine Performance enhancing drug testing will stall the Rise of this Dynasty. Plus the big buck contracts that they are gonna have to start paying out soon for Wilson and Sherman. Salary cap will even the field.
Peyton manning has not played against a top 5 defense this entire year.
Welcome to the NFC Peyton. Having one of the easiest schedules in the NFL 2 years in a row isnt always a good thing.
Baltimore - 12th ranked defense New York Giants - 8th ranked defense Oakland - 22nd ranked defense Philadelphia - 29th ranked defense Dallas - 32nd ranked defense Jacksonville - 27th ranked defense (tied for 27th) Indy - 20th ranked defense (loss) Washington - 18th ranked defense San Diego - 23rd ranked defense Kansas City - 24th ranked defense New England - 26th ranked defense (loss) Kansas City - 24th ranked defense Tennessee - 14th ranked defense San Diego - 23rd ranked defense Houston - 7th ranked defense (these guys were on full tilt mode by this time of the year) Oakland - 22nd ranked defense

Got them on and please let me know what channel the WNBA is on. But it's not just a blown call in the seasucks case. It's a history of constantly allowing one team to hold and interfere and not make any calls when nobody else can get away with it. Keep calling me a total dumbazz, but I still believe that good people win out in the end. And I'm not just talking about some stupid game.
We may have the best secondary ever assembled in Seattle.... Ever.
Wonder why that is? Can anyone figure out why the NFL wants the seasucks to win via non-calls on holding and interference?? okok must be giving out a lot of bloejobs. Do you swallow or let 'em shoot it all over your face?

I didn't call you a "total dumbazz". No doubt the NFL is big money, but it is still just a game. A children's game that men are playing. Get real.

If Aggies had been in the SEC when the deal was struck it would have been 10M.
PreZactley! Aggie 12th man tradition started way before the Seasucks were even thought of. Hawks fans stole it, plain & simple. Fans & team are totally classless. Proof ? See OKOK in dictionary.
Here's a little Aggie history as to how the Real 12th Man Tradition started:
The 12th Man tradition began in Dallas on January 2, 1922, at the Dixie Classic, the forerunner of the Cotton Bowl Classic. A&M played defending national champion Centre College in the first postseason game in the southwest. In this hard-fought game, which produced national publicity, an underdog Aggie team was slowly defeating a team which had allowed fewer than six points per game. The first half produced so many injuries for A&M, Coach D. X. Bible feared he would not have enough men to finish the game. At that moment, he called into the Aggie section of the stands for E. King Gill, a student who had left football after the regular season to play basketball. Gill, who was spotting players for a Waco newspaper and was not in football uniform, donned the uniform of injured player Heine Weir and stood on the sidelines to await his turn. Although he did not actually play in the game, his readiness to play symbolized the willingness of all Aggies to support their team to the point of actually entering the game. When the game ended in a 22-14 Aggie victory, Gill was the only man left standing on the sidelines for the Aggies. Gill later said, "I wish I could say that I went in and ran for the winning touchdown, but I did not. I simply stood by in case my team needed me."[52] A statue of E. King Gill stands to the north of Kyle Field to remind Aggies of their constant obligation to preserve the spirit of the 12th Man
The 12th man tradition started because the Aggies always need one more man.
That's a good one Doc! I've pretty much heard ever Aggie joke in the world, especially since my younger siblings were all RedRaiders & T-sips.
While I was at A&M, during Jackie Sherrill's heyday, the 12th man guys were all walk-ons who played during Kickoffs & Returns. At that time, nobody ever returned a Kickoff aaginst us. I've also still have one of my really old T-Shirts from that period at A&M. It says " Eight Straight" and has a cartoon of Beevo with his horns sawed off. Another words, we had a record going at that time of beating them 8 years in a row. Also, the only Heisman Tropy winner to ever beat the Aggies was Rick Williams, when he was at UT. We beat Bo Jackson, Eric Dickerson, Earl Cambell, Ty Detmer, Tim Brown, and several other not as famous Heisman winners. Cant remember them all, I'm getting old & forgetfull
Our best tradition is kissing your wife or girlfriend at the Football Game ever time we scored! Or which ever good looking babe setting beside you at the game!
Most people don't know that Sherman was a track star at Stanford too; High jump, triple jump and long jump. Dude has a 42" vertical jump. And 6' 3" any questions????

Not a question, but you got a little something dribbling down your chin.
[quote=5sdad] Yea. He cried and whined that Crabtree pushed him in the back and he could only swat it. Typical classless seasuck POS.
Dude your delirious! take Crabtrees dong out of your mouth and breathe. Anyone with half a brain can clearly see for themselves on every replay shown the Crabtree shoved him from behind. Apparently it isn't pass interference when your buttboy commits it. Again anyone could clearly see Crabtree talking smack all day yet he had a schittty game and no reason to talk any smack as he got owned on that route. Also anyone who follows NFL knows about the bad blood between those 2.
The Niners pushed and held as bad as the Seahawks all game but it's only an issue for the glass vagina Niners fans. He'll even Harbaugh said it was a CLEAN well played game......
Again you talk class, do me a favor get off Crabtrees jock for 30 seconds and let's talk class. Are you the only person that has not seen the replay video on every network of a NONUNIFORM Niners player stepping forward and intentionally clothes lining the Hawks Jeremy Lane during an active play . Yep classy bunch those Niners were!!!!!!
Once again you saw a game on TV and are guessing what occurred even though I repeatedly stated I saw it on person and it went both ways all night. The Niners lost and it's just a game so get over it.
Okok takes it too far but you do as well and can't admit to stuff that has been shown 100,000 times.

Holy dogshittt CHL you couldn't be more wrong if you tried and using Wikipedia as your source reference is lame as hell.
Pretty sure your precious Aggies stole the "12th man" term from the University of Iowa Alumini who coined the term in 1912 a full 10 years before the Aggies stole it. The Aggies "trademarked" the term but they sure as hell didn't create it.
Here is a direct quote of the first publicized use of the term "12th man" that your Aggies blatantly copied then trademarked: In his article, titled "The Twelfth Player" McGowan wrote: "The eleven men had done their best; but the twelfth man on the team (the loyal spirited Iowa rooter) had won the game for old S.U.I." [1]
Nice try but your statements and those of the Aggies and your Wikipedia link are false and easily proven so.

But I've already seen most of Colorado.
If you change your mind, look me up and I'll buy you lunch...

UNIVERSITY of IIOOWWAAA ? Hell, I didn't even know the HAD a Football Team
And since our Aggie Code of Conduct that most of us Alumni live by says we don't Steal, Lie, or Cheat, i doubt seriously that Coach Dana Bible had ever even HEARD of U of Iowa. It was a tradition that started on our field that day due to player injury, for Aggies. It Had nothing to do with Iowa. Get a grip, dude. Your starting to sound like OKOK
CHL whether the coach knew about U of I or not and regardless of your supposed code of conduct the reference is posted and out there dated 1912 referencing a game in I believe 1903. Irrefutable proof that the claim you made and that of the Aggies is false!
I know this because when the lawsuit happened ( you know the one that the Aggies actually settled when Seattle showed they didn't create the term only trademarked it) it was proven to have been created by a U of I writer.
Do yourself a favor, Google University of Iowa and 12th man. Lots of irrefutable proof the Aggies didn't start it.

CHL, The only one who needs to get a grip is you sir. I don't sound like Okok but I'm tired of the bullschitt from Aggies fans when they stole the term as well. You posted utter bullschitt and a wikipedia link which anyone can post what it wants. Problem is your post like I said is false and the actual originator of the term cited in my post.
Far be it of me to post truth when it contradicts a lie and history. Like I said Google is your friend and the term was originated by, printed by and attributed to the U of I football team a full 10 years before your Aggies "think" they made it up.
Like I said nice try but your wrong and proven so!!!!!
Seems a lot of you think you know more about NFL teams then the bookies and sports experts. Don't think any of the sports professionals would agree with your blow out predictions listening to what they are saying.
P.S. if you hadn't heard the line on the game in Vegas initially favored the Hawks, then split even money and currently noone is giving more then a measly 3 points favorite to the Broncos right now. But again the line keeps fluctuating showing that most people don't concur/ and or aren't willing to risk real money that it will be a blow out.
I sincerely doubt there will be a blow out which I think is foolish given the defense of the Hawks. I'm a Hawks fan but have no hate for the Broncos and actually like Peyton.

I predict 27-20 Hawks
The Hawks have never lost by more than 7 points since Russell has been the QB in two years.....laffin'
