Randy, am thinking I might still have a 12v headlight from an old Jeep - mounted it in a small box and fixed it on a pole to help find big frogs in AZ irrigation ponds back in the 60s. The wiring is kinda' long.
If none of these modern/fancy lights do the trick and you want to try it, I will go diggin' and try to find it for you. Just let me know.
