If you guys are talking about those long/skinny 13 striped ground squirrels that sit up tall and gaze around, a 30+ gr. .22 rimfire works great at 50 yards and pretty good out to about 75 as well as long as there is no strong cross wind - but normally I can't hardly find 'em past that distance.
